I thought I'd introduce myself.
I have worked in HR since December 2000 when a chance temp Admin Asst assignment landed me in an HR department. I decided I liked it and have slowly been rising through the ranks since. I finally went back to school (online) and completed my BS degree in 2003 and then got my PHR certification in 2007.
I now do Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, HRIS and anything else needed for a small (but growing quickly) pharmaceutical company.
We're in the midst of our Medical Benefits Open Enrollment, so life is chaotic; but I'm looking forward to the World at Work conference next week (local for me, in Philadelphia) and the SHRM conference next month in Chicago.
So, that's it in a nutshell.
